Yes but come on, most of those are modern glory hunting fans from outside the UK with no real concept of history and want a glamourous name. When I've been in Manchester (cousin lives there) most local Utd fans I've talked to said they'd be happy with Moyes as a successor, some named him first choice without being prompted.

Hopefully any successor does well from the off, if we're struggling early doors then they'll get very short shrift. We've come to expect being a decent side at minimum (5-7)..

This. He has been great for us, when he took over we were in a very dark place and he got us out of that.
