Confirmed: Martinez New Everton Manager - All Reaction Here

In that press conference, I definitely DID see a chairman still gutted about Moyes, and a bemused looking Martinez who I didn't identify as an Everton manager. I said "Well, we'll give him a chance..." and indeed we have, and he's proven to be an inspired choice. But that doesn't mean the analysis of that initial press conference was wrong.

Very few people can say honestly that Roberto Martinez was their first choice for Everton manager. He certainly wasn't mine, but he was high on the list, and there's a news story on the front page of GOT I can dig out to prove it, and numerous posts from me pointing out that Martinez had much higher credentials to be an Everton manager than Moyes had when he arrived. But was I disappointed we'd hired a guy who had just been relegated? Absolutely.

One things for sure - anyone trying to vault this thread to embarrass people are being disingenuous. Just because they're afraid of giving a definitive opinion on anything on here, it doesn't mean people should be laughed at for doing so. It's tittish tbh.

Rattled

Not at all! No reason to be. Just pointing out that it's ridiculous to hand pick people's legit views on an Everton forum and attempt to point score. As I said, tittish.

Haha nah I'm not! I could do the same thing in the Barkley thread, and indeed somebody did, and it's equally tittish. There's a few usual suspects who have nothing substantial to say about any Everton subject and just try the wind up non-stop. Contribute to the debate or don't, but constantly fence sitting whilst ridiculing other people is tittish.

Come on tubey if this was a reverse scenario you would sure as hell would be vaulting this thread like an olympic gymnast.
Having said this let's all sit back and take a ride on the Martinez 'groovy train'.

Honestly, nope. As I said, I could do all day in the Barkley thread.

I've been wrong about loads of stuff in the past (look up my opinion on Benteke, that's a shocker - or when I lamented not signing Hammill, or when I said Dale Jennings is a future England superstar etc. etc.) and I've got no problem with vaulting, but when it's purely done to wind-up and cherry picked to carefully avoid certain people, then it's tittish.

Being a tit is what internet forums where made for, really!
