The thing is Moyes said he didn't think he could "take the next step"

Roberto Martinez came in spent a bit sold a bit and EFC look to have jumped about another ten feet.

I think Moyes lost motivation. Probably with Alex Ferguson in his ear.

Martinez is chomping at the bit. Not seen someone look so hungry for years.

....champing at the bit

Moyes had no hesitation trying to smash down the house he'd built

To try and add another bedroom on the palace he's just moved into.

Then ****ged off the new resident (martinez) when he objected. To knocking down the diy renovations hes just done to his new gaff.

Hence moyes is going to get slatted

Moyes may have been the former occupier. But this club has a new resident.

Moyes cant just swan in when he likes. He doesn't live here any more.

Hes already stolen the garden gnome with the funny hair. Hes not getting the one with the sweet left peg too.

haha...another great analogy. Red Café bloggers are asking whether Fellaini is the worst purchase Manure have ever made!!. Martinez was right when he said 'the grass isn't always greener'

There's an undeniable synergy between the two. Moyes left us in an excellent financial situation due to his and Bill's wonderfully suited frugality. We lost precious little on dodgy transfers and that's really stood us in good stead.

He also clearly had not just a good eye for a player but a great eye for a bargain player, especially defensive players. He gave us a really solid setup and some good defensive coaching - look how much Baines, Jagielka and Coleman have improved thanks to Everton (Moyes).

There were faults, more of which are becoming apparent by the day, but Martinez and Everton have retained many of the good things he left us. Inc Bainesy!

I always said Fellaini is ****. Wonder why it's only the Man U fans who see it. Do we just love mediocrity or something? Highlights players? We've improved so much since he's buggered off out of our midfield

That's harsh on fellaini. I like to call him a liability.

There were games were he'd play like a machine, and be totally unplayable, the problem there was they'd happen once every 6/7 games. He'd stroll around the pitch like he didn't care when the going got tough, and only flourished when the rest of the team played well.

I wasn't the only person to see this, Pienaar, Arteta, Rooney, Ferguson (First time) and to a lesser extent (due to waning ability) Cahill, were key players when they left and i was sick to my stomach when they did, when Fellaini left i wasn't too bothered, maybe it was a case of inevitability, the £27.5m, the fact he wasn't consistent enough, and the fact that well the future looked bright under Martinez, and with that money, we can actually strengthen the squad.

Fellaini just won't be missed. I wish him well, but United are welcome to him!

...well said.

Moyes moving Fellaini up to No. 10 as a game changing option at United is a bit cringeworthy with the options he now has at his disposal. Isn't Kagawa supposed to be boss like?
To be honest I didn't think it was a great option here even if he controls long balls on his chest like a champion. Fellaini will be fine alongside Carrick when he settles in. We replaced him with McCarthy who you could easily argue compliments Gibson and Barry (who I think will sign on a free) more due to his more high tempo game and greater mobility.

Fellaini in form is a top player but respected journos like Phil McNulty have always questioned his consistency. He's also liable to do something daft and get sent off. He'll have his good days for Utd but will they be often enough?

Can't deny Moyes left the club in good shape, but it was time for somebody more motivated to take over. It was best for both parties. Still, early days for Roberto. The most important thing will be how we bounce back from our first league defeat. And it will happen, the second half against Newcastle was a reminder that we aren't Bayern Munich or Barca!

new badge to be unveiled cant wait come on you blue boys !

Just made up with the run weve been on the last 3 games. You could tell after the frst 3 draws that some of our fans are just proper melts and without them wins some sections of our fanbase would have been going mental and on here would have been murder.

In his interview this morning he sees the first 3 games as six points dropped and seemed disappointed.

He genuinely aims to win every single game in the prem...

were gonna win the league lads cos as if anyone is ever gonna be able to injure lukaku b)

Wait until 2.35pm Saturday if we get beat. They're bound to make a re-appearance.
