Presser went pretty well I thought, apart from Bill revealing that he had said Roberto would get us into the CL. No pressure then. Oh and the bit where he confirmed that one player had a release clause in his contract, but we knew that already.

Looking for forward to out new manager getting stuck in and seeing what changes he will make to the playing style. Exciting times ahead............hopefully.

I think it's just the ambition. BK wants CL and if martinez has enough faith in his ability then he should believe he can do it. Don't forget we threw away stupid points this year and our main striker had a loss of form and Kev spent most of it injured. To be honest, I'd have been pissed if they turned around and said the ambition was to fight for 6th/7th.

keep all our best players flog johnny and jelavic who has shown when his confidence is down he's a truly awful player, steal belhanda from villa as he's a fantastic prospect, sign soldado who has 60 goals in 100 games and get alcarez as cover then focus on a replacement for distin next season

Buy distin's replacement now. Then we have 3 very good defenders to choose from/cover injury. And yes get Duffy out on loan for a season. This way when distin has gone the following season Duffy should (if proved good enough) have a full season of football behind him and ready to challange. Sell johnny!

Doubt we'd get more than our money back on jelavic, but agree with moving him on. We need a marque striker signing this summer.

The more snippets I hear on SSN from Martinez presser, the more impressed I am...

I like the comments about taking what we were good at (ie defense, 6th, home record etc) and improve on that as apposed to trying to change everything. Also wanting to add players to give different options but keep are BIG players.

No your not fickle, many of us were banging the martinez drum from day one because he's near-as perfect for us. Loved Moyes but I think things may have turned out best for all parties (well possibly not man utd haha)
