Maloney isn't even in the same league as fellaini in terms of ability. It's actually offensive towards Fellaini to speak of them in the same breath.

He is the sexiest manager in our history

LOL

Rates Maloney, but not Fellaini.

Did I mention LOL

Missed the quote where he said he doesn't rate Fellaini.

Not seeking urgent talks with a player who has 3 years left on his contract, has not asked for a move, and there have been no bids for, doesn't qualify as 'not rating someone'.

He is talking about Royal Blue Jersey not rating Felli.........

Lordy, gotta spell it out for some people eh? ;)

As Dylan says, the poster RBJ called Maloney "quality", I just found it amusing that the same poster thinks Fellaini is 1 of the worst players in the World.

ok so during the tempestuous search for our new manager, I was fully on board with team vitor

I, like many others, wanted him here, with his olive skin and his shiny shoes with the big buckles

but the more I learn about this Martinez fella, the more I think we've got the right man

I personaly think we have given the "Chance" to the right man. It's not guaranteed he'll succeed or fail. Wigan were always going to be battling relegation, the sale of players hindered him, the lowering of the wage bill and the injuries. I like his thinking about tactics and how the game should be played but hope he's not too stubborn to put that first at all costs over PL points. That's one thing at a Wigan or Swansea, different ball game managing a team like EFC trying to get in that top 4.

I've said many of times, I think he was the wrong man to be in charge of a team like Wigan. Average players, no real money or wage bill to crack on, and the whole while trying to change a whole philosophy of how they played. Having better players will make things a lot easier for him no doubt, and given the pool of players available for him to be able to attract at Wigan his transfer record is really quite good.

Hate to use Brenda as an example, but I do like the way he's gone in to Liverpool realising he can't change there style immediately to mirror Swansea etc..Do hope Martinez does simlar, slowly introduces his ways, gaining a little experience along the way...he's got the potential to be a excellent manager but he does still have plenty to learn.

I'm optimistic...More so than I would of been with that pretender VP...

I am happy with Martinez going forward. He'll have my full support and time to prove himself. There's plenty of cohesion in the squad he just has to provide fresh impetus in both ideas and new faces, both through the academy and signings in key areas. Simple eh Bobby? Crack on lad.
Main hesitation right now is much like Moyes, he is a club man and that was always going to appeal to Bill. I can see future fumes ahead when he toes the party line.
