Player Valuation: £70m
Ive just tripped over the power lead from my Comp' . It was a big one - the trip and the wire got proper ragged .. Then I tried to plug it in and the yellow power button wont come on . Thus , I have until the battery runs out in about 15 mins and Il be incommunicado .

Any suggestions , peeps ???

Check all the connections mate. Does the power supply have two parts???

i did something similar to my work pc. turns out the 3 pin kettle plug had come out of the larger adapter. one little wiggle and i'm back in the game....doh..

same with my labtop in the house..

Mine limped along like that for a while, the plug get strained due to being ripped out, I had to keep fiddling with it to get it to stay on, then you would move the laptop and off it would go, mine was the lead that was fooked which required the purchase of a new transformer after it shorted out and smoke poured out.

Cheaper than if it's the laptop side of it that is broken.

Advise he get a new lead, no point putting him and his family at risk for the sake of a tenner. Arsing about with knackered wiring is asking for a short circuit/electrocution/worse.

I had to get a whole transformer, as the bit that goes to the laptop is wired and inside those rubber bits, couldve had a new plug soldered on and should've done as nearly had a fire, it was about £25 for one for mine, they wanted about that to put a new plug on it (not the 3 pin one before some pipes up).

He was our thoroughbred,
Our champion horse,
With his weird syntax,
And messages from sauce,
I cant stand who broke his PC,
They're bad English vermin,
My weekend will now be [Poor language removed],
Without his boss sermon.
