Computer games.

See I keep seeing the Arctis 7 pop up on reviews but every YouTube review I’ve seen it absolutely bombs out on the mic test which just rules it out for gaming. For ~£150 I want a clear voice and some nice surround sound to hear where people are coming from.
Really, when I was researching, everyone was saying the mic was great and the G533's mic was a bit quiet.

Though I have just spent the weekend playing Sea of Thieves with the kids (them on their xbox's/PC and me on my PC) and nobody had any issues hearing me, even the melts trying to get revenge on us for sinking their ship and taking all their stuff.........

Saying all that, the mic's are good enough for gaming. They aren't going to be clear unless you are dropping actual money on a real mic.

Seen a lot of reviews just like this one which don't inspire me much overall for the price:

I'm rocking like an 8-year old Razer headset right now and the mic sounds better than those headsets.

Well, for me, the mic has to work, thats about it. The mic wasn't really a consideration for me. But I am really loving my G533's so far (they are replacing my G430's which are passing onto my son), they sound really good, and I am really appreciating the wireless aspect of them now. Worth the money for me.

Anyone still play games that were released ages ago? I mentioned wii sports before and have been playing super Mario world on the SNES. Played modern warfare 2 up until a year ago when all online games got hacked.

I went for the Corsair HS70 Pro's and the Arctis 7 in the end (send one I don't like back) as they have similar reviews and price. There were better options for the money wired but I've always gone wired and fancied the flexibility. Will let you know how they sound.

Yep. Not played one of the PS2 era for a while but I am replaying Dragon's Dogma right now that came out around the end of the PS3. Really underrated game that has some very neat mechanics. Looks a bit dated by now but plays better than many new games.

Also has this awesome title music:

Still play Black Ops 1, GTA V, Skate 3 (RIP @ijjysmith) and a few others

Some MW2 hacks were funny but some would ruin it big time. I miss that game so much

Il2 1946 with mods is still a great game, just looks a tad dated now.

Absolutely loved Dragons Dogma - comfortably one of my top 10 - top 5 games!

Playing through Knights of the Old Republic 2 with the total content mod and I’m shocked by how good it is - easily jumped to one of my favourite games of all time and I haven’t even finished it yet

KOTOR1 and 2 are two of the best games ever for me. Criminal how they didn't make a third and barely finished the second.
