Computer games.

Bossing gwent here now - had some laughably wrong ideas on the rules [didn't realise pass ended your round, for example], but am now sticking Northern Realms to all and sundry. Funny as I couldn't be ersed with it when I started the game, but now it seems absolutely integral.
Great to hear mate. It does get fun, even i play random games with people just for the hell of it.

This is generally the deck i use minus any DLC cards worth having

All the neutral special cards (Geralt/Ciri/Triss/Yennifer/soldier man/Phillipa/Dressed in red man)
mysterious elf / 3 other spy cards for the deck (can't remember the names sorry!)
2 x catapult / 4 other seige cards
3 x blue stripe soldiers
Seige medic
3 x decoy
scorch x 1
Bird thing

Plus a few others/multiples of the above.

the DLC cards are actually rather good as well i have found. the skellige deck is ok until you get the Cerys card and the sheild maidens, instant round win, especially with a horn card after it.

Gaunter o Dim and the spirits are good, as is the other fella who is in the DLC, but you need to move more melee for him.

In blood and wine now, i have actually just gave up with gwent and used the debug menu to add more cards into my deck. I have no achievements activated so no achievements to not get. quite fun when you can add like 10 spy cards in and 10 blue stripe soldiers, although not a challenge anymore.

Bought one of those ropey "1000 games in one" things off Ebay. A very cheapo feeling PSP type thing but there's a load of decent old games on like Ghosts'n'Goblins, Double Dragon, Sensible Soccer, Sonic and a few hundred more or so. £11 all in and delivered within two days so I can't complain.

Trouble is I remember being absolutely brilliant at Sonic back in the day but I'm just bewildered by the speed of it now! Explains why I'm so bad at fast online shooters like COD or BF. The other players aren't cheating, the games not bent or inherently flawed...I'm just past it.

Age that.

Been there myself. Back in the day I was pretty unbeatable at Street Fight II. I was like a robot, neither human or CPU could get near me.

Got one of them Raspberry Pi things at Christmas and got battered by Guile in my first game on normal difficulty. I just don't think my mind moves as fast as it used to.

I grew a neck beard just reading that ;)

Don't know if anyone here has heard of Astroneer, but it's a space survival game in alpha currently. It's brilliant.

It's been recieving regular updates over the course of the year that it has been out, with two relatively major ones in recent weeks.

You basically terraform the planets around you for materials etc and build a space base, solo or with friends with some interesting mechanics in keeping power flow to modules ongoing.

The game is by no means finished and has a few performance issues/bugs but it's still hella fun.

The development roadmap for the rest of the year is particularly promising, aiming for dedicated servers and all sorts. I love it!

Have watched a few videos on youtube of IGP playing this. Does look pretty cool, but I have too many games already.

Friend of mine bought both this and the subnautica betas.

They looked like stay alive simulators to me. Astro was walk, drop oxygen, walk, drop oxygen on repeat until he stopped dropping the pod things.

Subnautica was swim down, build oxygen tank on repeat until he stopped.

The phrase 'worse than No mans sky' comes to mind.

I've watched lots of Subnautica on the same channel. It is much more than that.

Obviously you need oxygen, but there are plenty of ways to keep oxygen levels up and for me it is more about the exploring and effective base building.

There's a helluva lot to do and it's definitely overcomplicated at the beginning, but I think if you see it from the start everything would make more sense.
