I like the idea of the plot in Mafia 3.... sounds interesting.

MGSV is easily the worst of the series.

MGSV is easily the worst of the series.

It's still OK though. It suffers from being a "modern" game with the DLC crap etc. and the horrid need for every AAA game to be tacked on "open world".

It just happens to be part of a stellar overall series. If that was a new IP it'd be applauded much more.

Are they going to water it down, though? What Nomura said (and what the trailer suggests) could easily be taken to mean there will be a lot more freedom to roam about, rather than have whatever your version of Cloud was called follow a preset sequence of quite small maps and loading screens, interrupted every now and then by a random fight - which would never be acceptable nowadays.

Why? Why did people arbitrarily decide this is suddenly "bad"?

FF7 is infinitely better than FF13 and more enjoyable to play to this day, yet has those features. What happened exactly to make random encounters, ATB and the weird idea of a game being a full game on day one so unfashionable?
