Computer games.

Just got an email from Steam: "A game in your wish list is on sale"

*sees that all 6 games in wish list are on sale* ARGH!! Why do you do this to me?

Seriously though, for me there's no need to buy a next gen console with all the bargains on Steam. It's ace.

Lol. Know the feeling.

There's so much junk on steam.

So many fake reviews too.

Weighed by junk.

I dusted off my gta5 to replay the story for a second time. I decided to go for the the last two gold trophys one for 100% game completion and another for 70 gold medals in missions. I have been blowing through them easily enough as I got to level 100 a few months ago online to win my first gold trophy, so it's easy to me to check the requirements. One or two replays needed on some but I love that. It reminded me of when gta games where hard.

I but all my games I play on the hardest mode from the start. Struggling and replaying parts in games bring me back to when I enjoyed them. Overcoming frustration.

When I get these gold trophies I might consider platninuning it. I only have one platinum and it's for red dead redemption. I played the [Poor language removed] out of that game, one of my favourites. I replayed mgs4 last month and got 70percent trophies but you have to play it atleast 8 times if you are serious about a platinum on that. It is my favourite game series but one playthrough takes a lot out of me. So I can't see that happening for a decade or so.

Prison Architect is fun for a while, not sure of the long term appeal, though they do keep adding stuff to it. I guess it's worth it at that price.

I'd go for Banished over it to be honest.

Never looked at Insurgency, isn't it just CS but not as good?
Yeah I thought that. It's only a fiver though.

Never played CS but apparently it's a good middle ground between CS and Red Orchestra (never heard of it). It was only a fiver as well. No HUD, no ammo count, 2 shots and your dead. Apparently it's nigh on impossible to camp too.

There's a FTP shooter that is similar and a few of my mates keep banging on about - Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Phantoms - I think it is. Can't go wrong with free! I've had my fill of online shooters though, my old CB days burnt me out.

Thing is with shooters I'm so used to a controller that I really struggle with a mouse/keyboard, and apparently if you play against normal PC/Mac users they'll destroy you as the keyboard/mouse is much better.

Might check that Tom Clancy game out.

So the design for the Steam controller looks to have changed again.

Seems to be heading toward more of a D pad type thing, rather than what they had before. I'm not sure that's the way to go. Keyboard/mouse is way ahead of a traditional controller in terms of accuracy and response, so surely the only way they can convince people to convert is to go for something completely innovative.

Hmmmm.

Anyone taken a look at Elite: Dangerous?

A spaceship exploration game, sort of like X2 and X3. Looks good, but I'm always wary of games that aren't part of steam.
