Oh my.

It's like you're inside my head.x

Just buy a new controller anyway and have this as temporary fix mate

Yeah I'm just trying to find somewhere nearby which sells them for an okay price. Game do them for £25 but 1. I don't even know if the one near me still exists and 2. The price may not be the same in store and there isn't a direct number ffs!

I've managed to get the D-pad working too. After getting spanked 3-0 by Hull I think I'll stick with that.

The only thing that doesn't work now is the vibration. Not too shabby.

I once nearly binned a SNES game in my youth I was angry I couldn't complete it

Never broken a pad though. There's still time I suppose. I'm a noted hot head and I'm rubbish at games

It's such a daft thing to do but in those moments of rage you just don't think straight.

I've broken many over the years. Probably on my 5th Xbox pad now I reckon. I hadn't broken one in ages though since I stopped playing games online.

Anyone decided too get GoW: Judgement.

It looks good but the way it is played is very different too the rest of the series. And I love Gears games.

On it's own, Judgement is a very good game. I've been on Epic Games's forums and the community is split on whether they like it or not. Some of them feel it's similar to Gear 1, which I personally found far more difficult than 2 or 3. The comparison to Gears 1 is good or bad, depending on your preference really.

Then there's the rest like myself who was a bit let down with it.
I loved Gears 3 so much, one of the best packages in gaming, Horde, Beast modes, fully fledged campaign along with some of the best DLC money could buy on the Xbox.
They got the balance in Gears 3 spot on, weapons, maps were all great and the gameplay was as smooth as ever.

They removed a lot of things in Judegement, which really confused me. Like only 4 modes on multiplayer and the disjointedness in the campaign.
This time round they've messed around with too many things, but I've played a fair bit on Judgement's multiplayer (especially Overrun) and it's growing on me. Gameplay is still exactly the same, but its very arcadey, when People Can Fly, the Co-developers of Bulletstorm came in to do this with Epic, then I pretty much expected it to be like it is.

GTA 4 was a little bit of a let down for me. The graphics, story and the environment were all great, as was the driving, but the on foot controls were just woeful and it's the first GTA that I've never completed.

Did anyone get the downloadable content? "The Ballad of Gay Tony" and "The Lost and the Damned"? I think that's what they were called any way.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. What put me off playing the single-player was the gameplay, it's never been Rockstar's strong point but their recent games like Red Dead, L.A Noire (especially) and Max Payne are some of my favourite games of all time. They managed to improve the game play massively, Red Dead was clearly in that transition.

I've got the GOTY edition, and I would say for the multi-player alone it's worth it, adds tonnes of new content, and there's still a lot of people playing it online as well.
And the DLC for them both are on sale a lot as well.

I do like number one campaign wise, but with any first in the series, found the multiplayer buggy. But I like them all, will no doubt get Judgement but for now I will continue too play 3.
