Computer games.

In fairness, some of Jim Sterling's Zelda criticisms are valid, but overall, when you consider everything the game isn't a 7/10. Most of his complaints can be countered, with one example being the loading cut scenes for the shrines which can all be skipped. I've played a hell of a lot of games in my time and Zelda: Breath of the Wild is right up there with the very best.

Maybe Jim just wants a bit of attention?!

All the mutants sending him threats etc are absolutely pathetic btw.

A YouTube 'celeb' seeking attention!??!! YOU JEST SURELY

He's a total fat over opinionated slob.

I do not agree with the boglin shagging freak, but on that game he is spot on IMO. All of the AC games are grossly overrated.

I think AC2 to a lot of console casuals was their first intro to the series given that AC1 went relatively under the radar. The running/climbing thing was new, the characters, the music, atmosphere and location really just came together and made it a success.

But at the same time, yeah a hardcore gamer who's probably seen it all before (likely on PC with much better graphics) would be far less impressed. A bit like the rest of us with all subsequent offerings tbh.

The AC games are what they are. They're repetitive and derivative but I like History and I like Open World. The story for the first trilogy kept me interested.

I also appreciated being able to sail a ship in Black Flag. We need more sailing ship naval warfare games.

Playing Horizon Zero Dawn really shows up the AC series as being very thin on content and quality. I still like them though.

Those bits were alright, although my eldest couldn't do them so I picked it up and did them for him (I am a veteran of Sid Meier's Pirates - which is basically where they nicked their naval warfare from).

Wasn't that also the game with the dancing for governor's daughters gameplay?

For me, the only bad part of the game.

I flippin' hated that!!! It totally ruined the otherwise outstanding experience!

Ahh....memories....in an inferior ship outmaneuvering two or three vastly superior ships and successfully sinking one and legging it out of there!!

I know I also hated that. I could barely distinguish the hand-gestures so most of the time I was just guessing. The logic was also brilliant; the more attractive the woman, the better the dancing skills she required.

The sea-combat was cool; also liked the fencing part.

I want a reboot. They've got Civlizations coming out there ears but they haven't touched this in ages!!!!
