Computer games.

Totally agree on this

Maybe some fan could explain how those controls were tolerable and how they could decide to stick with them...

You have to be in the mindset of when it was first released. 1996 and 3D was still new - people tolerated the controls because the overall atmosphere and sense of dread compensated for it. That, and Spencer Mansion was and still is one of the finest examples of game location crafting ever.

It plays like a dog, but it's a fantastic dog.

Well I was in that mindset then and didn't understand why they'd go for that type of control over....Well, any other!

Mind boggling choice to me.

I enjoyed the uniqueness of it for a while.....Crapped my pants playing it night when the dogs jumped through the window at the start....But continued play no. At that age you generally finish whatever you started or at least tried to. I think Res Evil must have been one of the first games I put down despite the good bits.

It was inspired heavily by Alone In The Dark which did the same thing, hence the design choice. Think they were limited by the tech and the genre at the time, but I actually think they did it well given what they were aiming for.

The site were I got my retro games from, think it was called cool roms or something, had full (u), romsets for all the systems, which is all the games in one file. Only a couple of hundred meg for things like the mega drive and snes. Might be handy for some who are downloading the as it saves downloading games one by one and you can always delete the ones you don't want.

Nioh is great but the bosses kick my ass. I can clear new areas first time without dying but the bosses kill me in seconds.
The second one (post prologue) feels so unfair.

Looking to get a new game. I've currently got Skyrim, Mount and Blade, Fifa and The Last of Us.

Haven't had a good multilayer shooter in a while. Overwatch is meant to be good fun. But I was thinking of getting Battlefield 1.
