Computer games.

Been trying HTC Vive for a month now and returning it tomorrow ( many norwegian stores allows this).
My verdict is that the technology is very fascinating and that it brings a whole new dimension to gaming.
Unfortunately it still is too early for me to keep it because of the lack of content. It is mostly short demos and games that are not so well made out at this time, so I got quickly tired of all those games. But when the big titles comes out for it its gonna be hella fun.

The image quality was for me also a little disappointing. I could clearly see the " screendoor-effect" and the image was not as sharp as it should be. Also it got too quick blurry when thing was a little in the distance, and on the sides of the lenses. That said, I dont think the lenses needs much improvement before its good enough.

All in all high-end VR is something that I definetively will keep a track on and get later when the lenses has improved a little, and it is more quality content out for it.

No Man's Sky release date is looming......looking very good. I have actually pre-ordered this game, making it only the second game I have ever preordered, after Skyrim) mainly so I can preload and be ready to play on day dot.

I am intrigued by this. Not really my sort of game but the size of the whole makes it seem worth checking out.

The size is irrelevant to me. Elite has been using a 1:1 scale of the Milky Way for 2 years now.

Ah yeah I forgot you were an elite person.

Here's a question about No Man's Sky. Do you know if any of the gazillions of planets you can go to have cities or is it all like wildlife and stuff?

I don't think cities, but certainly different levels of evolved species, meaning some you run across will be technologically advanced and can put up a fight

Also, you get to name species and planets. So I imagine there are going to be a lot of penis related planets and species out there.

Penises, Hitler, anti-semitic/muslim names, loads of stupid names.

I, for one, can't wait.

For the time being I don't think a VR system can compete with a 1080p/4K TV + console/PC setup. Its going to need a generation or 2. The current gen will just be mostly simple party/puzzle games because no one is going to be stupid enough to fund a AAA title for it.
