That's not a good comparison though.
In the same way that you wouldn't judge a film from 1980 alongside a 2015 film in terms of CGI you also don't judge a game from the 90s against a modern AAA title. You look at them compared to their peers. In that regard Fallout 4s graphics are disappointing.
For me it's the character models and lip syncing so bad the Spice Girls would blush that lets the visuals down on the whole.
I think the world itself looks great, some of the vistas are stunning and they have really hit the nail with the weather effects and lighting. Wondering around in the fog with all the god-rays shining through looks awesome, not to mention the radiation storms!
Although, perhaps this is the basket in which they have thrown all their graphical eggs
Still, this shows the new high standards that Witcher 3 has set for open world games!
Although, dodgy character models, horrendous AI and a monumental amount of glitches aside, it is a damn fun game
