Many moons ago yeah. It was on PS1 wasn't it? Is that the right one I'm thinking of?
I can appreciate it's a cracking game like, and totally understand why you'd be exited for a remake, but I never got on with it.
Yeah PS1, but there were several made for that system.
It's an 80 hour game and one of a kind. I've known people to prefer 6 and dislike 7 due to the hype it gets (deserved in my view but can understand the opinion), but honestly never known anyone who has sat down and played it to say it wasn't there thing.
Fair enough though, but I'd definitely say give it another shot. No other game gets this type of emotional reaction (NERD WARNING):

Ah I had 14 and sold it with the intention of buying 15 but haven't yet. Just wondered if it was loads better.

The 'Big in Japan' sale on PS Store has got some absolute belters on it - Loads of FF, Ni No Kuni, Okami, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Catherine etc

Typical EA practice though, bet it ships with tonnes and tonnes of DLC. "Want to play Augusta ? That'll be a fiver. Want to play Royal Birkdale ? That'll be another fiver." Ridiculous.

It'll stop when people stop buying those other courses.
The whole nickel/dime'ing of the industry needs to go away, fast. DLC on day 1? Fffffffffffffff youuuuuuu
It looks like a ridiculously good game and much improved on previous efforts and you're spot on.
If I didn't know about this, I would probably end up being someone who spends 40/50 quid on courses from day 1. It really really has to stop though, can't be shipping a half finished game.
