Computer games.

What's the consensus on Windows 10? I have Windows 7 on my laptop. Should I be concerned that I haven't got the notification yet?

What notification? I wouldn't worry about 10...you can tell 7 is going to have a shelf life close to what XP did as there's really nowt wrong with it and since it's done well in the business sector it's going to be around for a bit.

Yes mate I've had mine already and it's true that if your system doesn't have the required specs that you won't receive it.
Thanks for the advice mate. I've deleted Fifa and Footy Manager to make room for the update but now am unable to participate in the transfer rumour thread as I can't research the boot sizes of our potential transfer targets, please advise?

Right.

The lad wants a 'gaming' PC, we're not talking Zills of Quids here as not got that much. Question is...

If I get a PC can I set up a network whereby the PC does all the work with it's internal gubbins, cogs and boiler and we can connect to it with our laptops and they are just basically using their display, keyboard & wifi to display the shiz from the PC ?

or is this not possible ? if it is possible are there certain 'conditions' to enable it to do such a thing ?

Yes you can. It is an inbuilt feature on steam. I can play a game on my laptop that is installed on my desktop through steam. It uses the desktop's CPU/RAM/GPU to run the game, and shows on the laptops display, using the laptops keyboard and mouse. You could do it the other way around as well (or desktop to desktop if you feel so inclined)

Good to know, Ta.

*Googles what is Steam.

I knew there was a boiler inside the thing btw, as well as the gubbins and cogs obviously.

Rubbish. The performance increase between 2.0 and 3.0 is minor unless you're using a dual GPU setup or playing at very high resolutions.

Dual GPU setup is the only thing that setup will allow. i.e. a second 780

Bottle necks all over the shop.
