FM2011 remains my most played steam game (220 hours I think), despite only playing it during a brief 2 month window. They're dangerously addictive games.
By the by, anyone played Crusader Kings 2?
Fascinated by Medieval History and OCD about details, enjoyed the Total War series for the most part. Would anyone recommend it?
I held off during the last Steam sale but considering it this time around.
The last steam sale they did an all in one version for 50 notes (about 25 pounds) so I'll probably look at getting that with all the DLC.Yeah I have it and it's great. Not easy to get into tho, will require some patience and probably worth watching a few Let's Plays on youtube (Quill18, Arumba maybe?) to get the hang of the basics as the tutorial isn't up to much. Make sure you get a version inc plenty of the DLC (can't remember specific ones). Also check out EU4, which is another Grand Strategy title by the same ppl, which is kind of similar, but different!
This is actually astonishing...
This is the statement the developer put out to "explain" it: http://skaldicgames.com/statement.html
Surely that's part of what makes GTA so great?Playing GTA V for the first time as I only have a PC. Gotta say it has lived up to the hype, it's incredible.
Maybe a bit too early to judge the story (for me), but it has been a bit silly in places. Gameplaywise it's probably the best in the series though.

Easily in my top 5 games of all time is GTA 5.
Just got DiRT3 on Steam and I think in some ways it's even better than DiRT2. Looks ace so far.
Brilliant game. A fair few glitches to iron out but easily the best racing SIM on consoles. Just ordered a wheel for the Xbox one for it, can't wait. A controller just doesn't do this game justice.Project CARS is out in 2 days. Looks absolutely incredible, hope it plays as well.

Anyone play the Witcher games?
Steam has an offer on in preparation for The Witcher 3 in a week.
Not sure what to use, controller or keyboard as its a bit of a nightmare controlling.
Tips welcomed.

I played the Witcher 1 on PC and 2 on 360. Found the 360 pad a lot easier to be honest.
People go on about the controls a lot, but when you get into it, they're great. In W2 when you upgrade your combat roll the combat becomes really, really good. In terms of being able to manoeuvre quickly, I'd defo recommend a pad though.
Got the third pre-ordered for PS4. Can't wait. Cd Projekt Red are ace.
