Computer games.


Noticed that Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is free with Playstation Plus so decided to give it a go as remembered it getting good reviews. Really fun so far although I'm only a couple of hours in. Worth a look though if you've got PS+ and like this style of game though.

Critic reviews are often deceiving. They tend to favor superficial things and I would wager some of them are paid off. Not that review bombing doesn't exist from users, but I would not put any stock into critics. It's probably the same ol assassin's creed formula which is fine. Can't imagine Ubisoft will get away with fine much longer though.

Probably not. Think Ubisoft are cooked regardless really unless this was some genre defining masterpiece. Which it was never going to be.

I find Metacritic is at least a good gauge of what sort of level the game is at given it’s an average. Ubisoft don’t have the best of reputations at the moment so can imagine lots of people were/are really wanting to hate it.

From the few bits of the things I’ve read it seems like it’s going to be exactly what I expected. More of the same but a bit more refined.

Basically if you like AC games, you will like this. If you don’t you won’t.

Kind of my thoughts. There is an audience for it. I don't think the series is doo doo like so many make it out to be. They are desperate for a new quality IP though.
 
Finally got that Kingdom Come Deliverance II. Played about 4 hours on it, then my GPU hosed itself. Unsurprisingly, it won't run on intel Integrated graphics. GPUs are totally at a premium and I can't afford $1000+

Tried on my Mac studio. Not Mac compatible, doesn't work with Whisky/Wine. Some suggestions to try Parallels but in my experience that's always been absolutely plop.

So it seems I have to wait a while, frustrating!
