I mean I use a different approach to level up quickly with the talk-only quests (or 1-2 things to fight) then go back and destroy everyone in Fort Joy (except Butter and Buddy obviously).

It's taken me two days to get out of that bloody fort, I did start again as I had a polymorph and didn't think she was very good. Not convinced i have the right build to be honest but I am not starting again, i am sick of the sight of that fort now lol.

There's a new version coming out on the 30th 'The Final Cut'
That's the version coming out for consoles and is a free upgrade for anyone already owning the PC version. It's now completely voice acted, all dialog, all characters.

Oh right, might make a big difference that, although normally in games I will use subtitles and read quicker than voice acting haha but in DE it may actually be better.
Must have been a mammoth task as well. A ludicrous amount of dialog to have voice acted.
I believe there's new content added as well. Some new NPC's, a few quests and some new areas to explore.

Top spec at the time, with Nintendo only having its original DS.
Still got it and loads of UMD’s and games.

What the hell ? I thought this was abandoned over a decade ago ? I remember being really hyped for it and then it got tons of bad press and got cancelled.
Looks very unpolished in its current state but has definite Brothers In Arms vibes. Hopefully it has co-op as the procedurally generated map feature sounds interesting.

I play Dark Souls (1, 2, and 3 and just got Demon Souls) a lot and pvE they are not too hard if you get into them.
I think the hard rep came when DS1 was released it was just so different to the hand-holding subservience to the player that had gotten out of hand with games around that time.
DS pvp, on the other hand, is super-hard, particularly in 1 - hardest game I've played. It's prob not harder than any real fighting game like SF or Tekken, which are crazy deep AFAICT, but it's amazing to see such a deep game as part of the bigger pvE. Massive salt mine of grief when pvE players try to pvp and don't understand that it's literally a different game.
Blown away by how good Demon Souls is - that must have been some game if you played it 10 years back, hugely ahead of its time. Not altogether convinced such a dutiful re-make was the best idea, apparently there is literally no change in gameplay, but it's an exceptional game.

Hmm, i'd worry they try make it too realistic and in the end it could become boring. The reason Battlefield & COD are so successful is due to the pacing and this one looks like it could be quite slow.
