Price of RAM's gotten dumb lately but I just bit the bullet...and I might not have gone with AMD if they'd not apparently sorted out some of their picky RAM issues with Ryzen 3. Went with PC3200 since that's max native support for these new chips and I don't tend to overclock until a few years in, when you sometimes need to.
I've still not gone AIO, although I always look at new units...I just can't bring myself to put liquid inside my PC and good air coolers, like the Noctua's, tend to hold their own for a bit less money. Probably won't touch my 1070 for a few years, at the least. I've tried to keep the guts and the GPU on separate upgrade cycles so I don't have to fork out so much all at once. This combo's really good, as it stands. DL'd 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' and 4k high/ultra is perfectly acceptable for me...never even bothered to run the built in benchmark actually. I'd probably guess FPS is in the 40's/50's.
