Computer games.

Been playing sea of thieves with a few mates because of this £1 Xbox game pass for PC. It’s quite a laugh but can imagine it getting boring after another session or two. Not enough pirate malarkey, no walking the plank, no feeding people to sharks, no drunken fist fights, no hookers at sea. You can board other people’s ships on the sly and steal all their goods though which is quite amusing, sometimes without them ever noticing.
 


Just turned it off. £15 down the drain.

Installing battlefield V now.

Cyberpunk looks decent.

Also pretty excited for ‘Elden Ring’ which is by From Software and Hidetaka Miyazaki (The guys behind Dark Souls, Bloodborne & Sekiro) teaming up with George RR Martin for the story/lore. Probably going to be a while off yet.




Most immediate one is ‘The Outer Worlds’
It’s by Obsidian and notably the same team behind the OG Fallout games and Fallout New Vegas.
It’s kind of an ‘up yours’ to Bethesda for not letting them do a New Vegas 2, so they’ve gone and made their own new franchise.
Open world planet hopping with tons of choice in player builds and how to approach each mission.
Out in October I believe!

I’m kind of cautious about Outer Worlds. Some of what I saw at the reveal was concerning (although they did have a bunch of idiots demonstrating the game). Makes me question if Microsoft got a bit “involved” with it.
 

Battlefield V is sadly the same as the other games from them. Which isn’t a bad thing but so predictable and unfulfilling.
