Computer games.

T-23 hours untill FF14 Shadowbringers comes out. Hype is building rapidly but think I'll spend today replaying an old gem by the name of Red Alert 2.

Hollow Knight

Nice one. I got spiderman the same day and played half way through. I think I'm getting triple A open world burn-!out. Thier all easy even spiderman on hard. Just travel here do this easy thing. Auto save every 2 seconds. If somehow you manage to die by freak accident don't worry try again from exact spot. Horizon, rdr2, ff15, spiderman. Just boxes to check off on a map. I hope Death Standing has a more creative tare on open world.

So you can tell how refreshing Hollow knight feels to me right now. It's like a from software game in 2D.

I have been playing the new Crash Team Racing. It’s ace but bloody hard.

And yesterday I gave The Crew 2 another go. It’s got a bit better over time but is still quite average.

However....I did race from New York to Sam Fran and it was awesome.

Glad you enjoy it! Some of the boss fights can be very hard. And if you have Godhome (I think it’s called, the DLC that comes with the Voidheart edition) it cranks up the difficulty to utterly obscene levels (optional of course) for a special set of boss battles.

I'm at the fungas part after beating the garden part boss. Yeah I got the full monty edition. Exploration is boss just like bloodbourne. Like don't mean to bang on about it but open world's are travel amd exploraction by nature and than should be part of the game and not just going mindlessly A-B

Been a a Gears of War fan since the first game on 360, franchise fatigue really kicking in tho. Can’t be bothered with Gears 5 from what I’ve seen, hate the way Microsoft has set up its two biggest studios just to make a single franchise.

There’s a few future games im keeping an eye on but Cyberpunk 2077 is a looking a definite buy from what I’ve seen so far. :-)

Not trying to be one of them mate but from what I've seen on the outside it looks like they have not delivered at all on game department. I've always been playstation not trying to be fan boy on ye. But ps4 has been insane but then again it depends if you like them games. Like halo and gears wouldn't appeal to me I'm not a big fps fan although I have my eye on that cyber punk for ps. I'd say the 360 was a better time for you?

I know what you mean, I’m a PlayStation fan too also Xbox, Nintendo, Sega etc. I was very lucky as a kid as I got all the consoles each generation and I do that myself each gen , it’s more difficult to play them these days tho with work, family, social stuff.

I’m not surprised Sony has had big success this generation, they laid the foundations in the PS3 era giving studios more creative freedom and it really showed its strategy with PS4. Look at Naughty Dog, now they could of just made Uncharted games having big success with them but instead, during the last years of PS3 they made The Last of Us. GG could of just made Killzone games but no, they made Horizon Zero Dawn. I’m not seeing this from Microsoft and if most developers/publishers had Microsoft’s attitude you wouldn’t have got even half the franchises we’ve had over the years.

I loved the 360 but for me the One has been their worst system except for a couple of games. I’m in the Xbox feedback program for the dashboard/UI/features and it’s like banging your head against a brick wall. We only got a restart console option last month, to test out! LOL. 360 was way ahead of Sony in Online/UI and they’ve really fallen in some aspects. Disappointing.

Lucky sod. Although I did get all Nintendo and sega consoles too but ps and x box are very alike so it was a luxury too far for me. So you think Microsoft has a direct involvement in thier studios not branching out with different IPs? They've made some silly decisions since they were doing really well outselling ps3 with 360. They had a big advantage there.

I'm a big fan of Japanese developers. And a lot of studios always had a good game for ps exclusively for obvious Japanese reasons that's another reason to add if I had an x box id hardly ever have it on.

I just feel setting up high budget studios dedicated to one IP each isn’t particularly refreshing or creative long term. Halo & Gears are Xbox’s money makers but for how long? When does business completely stifle creative risk? Know what I mean?

Where is the surprise for an announcement of their next game? There isn’t really as we know what they are making. He’s CEO of them lot across the park now but Peter Moore did a great job with Xbox apart from the hardware failure issue, they recovered from that. When he left they haven’t been the same. It’s like they throw crap at a wall to see what sticks, you would have to be a fan or follow their stuff to know what I’m getting at really.

The fella in charge now, Phil Spencer, is awful IMO. Contradicting himself constantly and surrounds himself with the more sycophantic side of the fan community (basically kiss his backside constantly & never say anything constructive). At the moment I see Sony & Nintendo dominating the console market by this generations end and the next one.

Not a big Japan game fan, Capcom and Konami I loved over the years, Nintendo too but the rest I can take it or leave it especially JRPGs although that FF7 remake looks stunning!

Pro tip: if your shade is one the other side of the map (and thus a pain in the @rse to reach) you can summon him by going to a shack east of Dirtmouth and trading a rotten egg with the vendor. Can't help you if you've already lost the geo though mate sorry lol

I know that about dirtmouth. How much was your biggest loss in geo? Feels like my bank accounts been robbed. Horrible. Set me back a long way.
