It's a true RPG - you have hit points and each shot has a "roll" for damage. Don't blame the game for your lack of clarity on what it actually is.
As for the gunplay looking woeful - the big "This is not representative of actual gameplay/the finished project" that they plastered everywhere was clearly not big enough for everyone.
Of course I know what they are and signify, I’m saying it’s a horrible design choice and looks tacky regardless.
Also the disclaimer at the top is put there as a failsafe so that when people criticise elements anyone can just say “well it’s not finished yet”.. which is fair enough but also requires a certain level of stupidness to assume they would show 45 minutes of gameplay if they weren’t reasonably satisfied with what they’re presenting.
It’s like when people go “it’s alpha/beta” out of some belief that something they dislike will change drastically before release when in fact reality and history shows this is rarely the case... especially with core game mechanics.
I think it’s delusional to think the gunplay will change drastically between now and release, tweaks sure but it’s pretty clear from the video the style of gunplay they are going for and I’m not a fan of that style.
