Coleman to Man Utd nonsense in the Daily Mirror

Silly question with the con men running out club but since the summer we've bagged £40m from player sales, £20m+ from the new TV deal, gates are up, and we're on for another £10m+ prize money for our league position.

Do we need to sell to buy anymore? Or even sell to survive?

No. We were breaking even before any of that revenue came our way. We will have a massive surplus to spend.

The January transfer window was a disgrace, but I do believe money was available. People forget that we bought Kone (who is crap) without selling anyone last summer. This was the first time this had happened in years, and it happened because we were breaking even and had the first new TV money installment to spend.

There is currently absolutely no need to sell to buy, or any need to sell to cover a loss, because there is no loss to be covered.

If the daily mail had there way the Everton squad will all be playing for Man U, does my head in tbh and I'd imagine Southampton fans feel the same as apparently there buying all there good players and ours, funny how you never see this with Spurs players like Townsend, the media respect for us is pathetic, if they did a league table we'd be 10th at best. They all think Newcastle are a bigger club then us, I find that so funny

He is the best right back in the premier league and our best player this season.
Imagine how good he could become.
Hats off to mr moyes what a bargain

Recent reports have emerged claiming that United manager David Moyes already has an agreement with his former club to sign Coleman for £15m.

However, Martinez has rubbished the reports by insisting that Everton are eager for the 25-year-old to commit his future to the Merseyside outfit.

"It must be a different Seamus Coleman because there has been absolutely no contact," BBC Sport quotes Martinez as saying in Thursday's press conference.

The Spaniard is also said to have added: "Seamus is having a great season and hopefully he can continue those levels. We want him here for many years to come."

The Republic of Ireland international joined Everton in 2009 from Sligo Rovers.

I do worry slightly about this one. He may be tempted, United are still huge and minted.

£20 million, has to be considered.

So there we go, as predicted, Martinez has completely dismissed it, and if anything has taken the piss out of it with his 'Must be a different Seamus Coleman' remark.

Somebody really needs to call out the Mirror and David McDonnell on their constant made up stories about Everton players moving on, particularly to Man Utd. It's getting beyond a joke now. They have no credibility at all. The stories themselves are basically a way of belittling the club and destabilising us. It's about time these journos became accountable for their stories when they are so spectacularly wrong - I mean, he was pretty adamant that United were 'in advanced talks' when clearly that's not the case at all and never was. The desperation to produce web content for website hits is ridiculous.

To be honest, I wouldn't normally be in favour of this at all, but if I was Everton, I'd seriously think about banning the Mirror and/or their journos from Finch Farm/Goodison for a bit, until they learnt their lesson.

RM on Talk sport stated the only players he could not control going at the end of the season are the current loan players! he did in a round about way say that!

I showed this to my United supporting mate who just laughed, said that there are about 7 positions that need strengthening for them before right-back. Thing is I actually rate Rafael as well, he isn't that far off of Coleman, tbh reminds me of him a little too

Absolutly spot on. Could not agree more.

Would love to see this.
