Phil McNultface...

"Jimmy Lumsden is arguably the most important of Manchester United additions by Moyes. Vast experience and a constant figure at his side. Rene Meulensteen will be missed.

"I'm intrigued to see if Everton keeper Tim Howard improves under another goalkeeping coach now Chris Woods has gone. Mixed last season. Departures leave room for Roberto Martinez to appoint trusted assistant Graeme Jones, Kevin Reeves and bring in Inaki Bergara as keeper coach."

Someone better go and do a check on all the furnishings from the managers office at Finch Farm, willing to bet they have been lifted as well.

Ok,seeing as you've taken those useless ****s off our hands we'll accept the £12M for Baines.

At the end of the day Martinez doesn't want them. Moyes knows this and so do they, if we didn't release them from their contracts in a mutually acceptable manner then we would have been forced to retain a coaching staff we didn't want or pay up the remainder of the contracts. We could do with Wigan appointing a manager soon so that they find themselves in a similar position.

I don't think Owen Coyle would like that, he has only had the job 2 weeks.

It works more strongly the other way, though. Moyes hasn't appointed them at United because he feels sorry for them. They are the men he wanted - and United should be prepared to pay for them.

It's pretty meek stuff to be saying that we had to let them go in case we had to pay their contracts off.
