CLUB TRIP TO BERN

Do you know how many of those supersaver tickets are available? On the website for a normal ticket, they automatically seem to include some sort of half priced discount for locals.

I'll ask my contact, but I suspect it's the usual low-cost pricing, so rather than a certain number of one type of ticket (supersaver) being available, there will be tickets available at different prices - this is from their FAQs

Why are different prices offered for the same route?
The prices depend on the capacity and popularity of the connections concerned.

How much is the train on top of this, mate?

Just had a quick scan, Geneva to Berne around £20. Berne to Basel little bit more at just over £26. As stated by someone else, there's a limit on the days in advance you can buy them so those prices are from dates earlier in the year...

Problem with Ryanair is there are no guaranteed connections, if one of you flights is delayed and you miss the other then you are into buying a new ticket at top dollar ! Hope you have at least three hours between connecting Ryanair flights, that time of the year is peak for bad weather delays !

I'll swim if needs be...

So these tickets will be best waiting to be bought and looking again around 18th/19th Jan?

Duno about you but I consider £80 for a return train journey of an hour or so to be a tad pricey considering the actually flights were only a fraction more

Same here. The train prices seem extortionate. Just hope I remember to have a look back nearer the time and manage to get a "bargain". From the sound of things, a bargain in Switzerland isn't what we would usually consider one lol

Hoping Sport Options or someone else comes up with a cheaper package. I can only get the two days off work so will likely only be able to do it via a package or not at all. Currently stuck between not wanting to pay that much, but not having the available time off to try and do it any cheaper.

Looking forward to this one. As usual like Krasnodar im setting off on Tuesday to make it cheaper.

Tuesday train to london
One night near paddington
Heathrow express train to airport

heathrow to basel

1night in basel

basel to bern

1night in bern on match day

Train back friday to basel

basel to london

london train back

so 6 trains 2 planes 3 hotels all for just under £350!

More of an adventure than the shitty official which i have done in the past..

Spot on that mate.

I have booked on this official trip but made my own way to Wolfsburg and bought tickets in neutral end.

Does anyone know how many away credits Wolfsburg got to before it sold out? I have 4 from last season plus Lille. Any conspiracy theorists think they give priority to people who book with Thomas cook...?

I don't fancy your chances if we only get 1600, they just refund your card if you don't make the criteria
