My thought about this window:
1. Regarding the deals - I am happy with what we have got. Solid, proven players and the real revelation Guye has been so far. They have already started to gain us points. I also have a good feeling about the lad we took from Sheffield United. The only realistic ones we didn't get and I feel sorry for are Kone and Bony. However, I think that our best transfer was Koeman himself.
2. Regarding the existing players - I do hope that many of them realize that not buyng star players gives them a great chance to step their game up and to impress, at least till January. Players like Lukaku, Deulofeu, Barkley and Mirallas must perform at the highest possible level and not going missing like in large parts of the last season. As for the young players - this could be a golden opportunity they ought to seize.
3. Regarding the board - I am not sure what to think. On one hand, I am happy that apart from Bolasie, we didn't overspend. I don't think that spending for the spending's sake is a good policy. I believe that giving 50 mil euro for an inconsistent player that went missing for a season and a half, 25 million pounds for a Napoli bench player, or 30 million pounds for a terrible mercenary, is just not right. Just imagine what part of a new stadium can we build with all this money. On the other hand, transferwise there is nothing to suggest that we are in a new era. We sold to buy and plenty of our actions were amateurish and naive, culminating in the deadline day, in which we were jumping from player to player like bees in a flower field.
4 Regarding the fans - I can't blame the majority of the fans that feel disappointed. However, I can't understand all this fuss and hysteria that make grown men look like teenage girls at a Justin Bieber concert. Maybe this should be a valuable lesson not to raise our expectations too high and not to be premature. Everton is obviously in such a state in which there is lot to be done on and especially off the field. I am an optimist - overhaul at any level will happen, but gradually. I don't know why people expected us to become the new Galacticos overnight. More over, calling your favourite club a "disgrase" and a "laughing stock" for refusing to pay silly money for a spoilt prima donna is a disgrace itself.
5. Regarding me - I feel very positive for not getting fired for spending countless working hours in the transfer thread this summer
