Closing Thoughts on the Transfer Window

And depending where we are in the league by January, lack of top notch signings to push us on now could put put us in the same position as the summer, if we are bottom half we are still going to be held to ransom
Every fan base in the PL barring the bigger clubs are feeling the exact same marra.

Oh woe, oh woe, oh woe.......Koeman is going to resign in protest....Moshiri is an asset stripper....there never was any money....Moshiri is a fraud....it was all lies....the new stadium is a con....Moshiri is taking the TV money....our fans are spineless....Moshiri needs to go....we should have bid more for Brahimi....we didn't do enough to get Sissoko....the club broke their promises....Walsh didn't do his job properly....I'm not going to take it anymore....oh woe, oh woe, oh woe.

Must be loads more.

The absolute tosh on here today at times.

Koeman is our best signing of the summer. I am over it now I accept Everton don't have Europe so we will naturally lose some targets, it was just the farce of missing out on so many targets on the last day then plucking out panic bids and even losing out on one of them.Which is why Elstone needs to go and somebody who can seal deals that Walsh/Koeman identifiy in positions we need good back up or upgrades in GK, CM and ST. Anyway we have a decent squad(even if we will heavily rely on Stek, Barry and Rom staying fit), better manager, good youth system a few shrewd buys in Gueye, Williams and maybe Bolaise and we kept Lukaku, so onwards and upwards.

Over reacting there a bit. You can't argue that things were done badly this summer

There is going to be an almighty crash in football in the next few years. The way people watch television is changing.
In 5 years everybody will be able to stream anything they want onto their television without paying a sky subscription or whatever. This will be worldwide.
The cost of Television football rights will fall off a cliff. Owners will sell, players will leave, wages will drop. The whole thing will crash.

I can't wait.

Over-reacting, exactly, all those reactions are over-reacting.

Yes, things were handled badly, expectations were not met and the reasons behind that have to be understood and the lessons learned for next time. A statement of our present and future intent from the club would be more than useful (or at least ruling out the supposed twitter comments from Moshiri). But we did have the money and Moshiri wanted the club to spend it on players. We did lodge bids for players. Yes, there are big issues why the deals could not be closed. The new stadium is happening. The squad is in better shape than it was at the end of last season although a good opportunity was passed up to make it even stronger. So, there are grounds for disappointment and reasons for an inquest to be held by the club. But we have to be balanced here, the future is still a very bright one.
