Closing Thoughts on the Transfer Window

In January, there will be decent players available whose clubs are no longer in the CL and EL and who will not be attractive to other clubs still in these competitions but will be attractive to us.
And depending where we are in the league by January, lack of top notch signings to push us on now could put put us in the same position as the summer, if we are bottom half we are still going to be held to ransom

Its not funny really given the tensions in the fan base at the moment.
There shouldn't be any tension, we may not have done the sort of business most fans were expecting but as I've said before, 7 out of 9 points isn't bad. I'm more than happy with that. ;)

And let's be honest - the guys we did sign all helped us to those points. Upgrade at GK, Gana's been a beast, Bolasie looks to be a player, and last but certainly not least our Welsh anchor is going to help us protect late leads, something we woefully lacked last year. Add to that getting in a legit DOF and RK, when you think about things realistically we had a very good summer. Once RK steadies the ship this year, we'll be a better "brand" to go out and get the players we thought we were going to get this transfer window. Rome wasn't built in a day

Exactly. What would we rather, this transfer window under Koeman or Martinez?

Think Sissoko will turn out to be a case of dodging a bullet - good summary here from a Newcastle fan, one of many who doesn't seem to rate him: http://www.[Publication is blacklis...tting-in-30m-man-moussa-sissoko-have-everton/

Maybe I'm imagining it but there seems to be a bit of a dearth in talent out there at the minute. Regardless of inflation, the players at the higher end of the scale seem to me to be average or risky buys.

I thought this watching the Euros, very few exceptional players out there.
