Close Calls: 'prospects'" we missed out on who turned out rubbish

So I was thinking the other day- I remember back when Aaron Ramsey was at Cardiff and Moyes really put out all the stops to try get him to sign for us, only to be trumped by Wenger flying him and his family to Switzerland.
At the time I was really disappointed, but having watched him several times this season I really feel like he hasn't amounted to all that (even considering the leg-break). In a way I feel we may have been lucky with him choosing Arsenal.

Was wondering if anyone else has had the same thought about another player-
really wanted him to join us ---> he picked somewhere else ---> he amounted to nothing
 

n'zogbia suppose he's not really a prospect either. hard to think really delph i agree with. my memeory sucks as i found out on the football quiz in world football

Davis, emre, nugent(Ffs! just what did where some Evertonians thinkin'???), love, nzogbia......There's definitely more, but I can't really be arsed.

But we missed out on a few who we were linked with first, such as essien, arshavin......and so on.
