I experimented with a ouija board once, managed to speak to my brother and father, i have no doubts it was them.

They were sitting next to me.

Thats the best i got.

Houdini made it part of his life's work to expose so called mediums, from memory there wasn't one who came up against him that he didn't expose as a fake. In saying that my mates Nan ( who didn't charge ) seemed to have a very uncanny knack of predicting things that would happen. She explained it away as that she had a " gift " nothing more and it was no big deal to her. Local celebrities used to consult her before they made career and business decisions. Sometimes she saw stuff other times she didn't . I honestly didnt know what to make of her as she had no angle at all.
