Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian

The Unobstructed View
gonna switch from i.e. to one of these, so a quick survey as to which is best, to make the decision for me, ease of use is paramount tbh as kids and mrs also use laptop.

oh, and it has to be free.

I've had problems with Firefox since its last upgrade. Dunno if its just my computer, but it runs a bit slow and crashes on certain sites.

Aint used Chrome but might give it a stab. Dont mind the new I.E.

this

I.E 8 is [Poor language removed].

Firefox is spiffing.

Problem solved.

then this

is exactly why i cant make my mind up, i think my laptop needs it's shiz sorting as well to make it work better.

i've tried soaking it in woodshavings overnight but think it may need a night in a tub of sawdust, i feel a sprinkle of sawdust will only gloss over the problem temporarily.

giving chrome a try for now, as far as computer literacy goes i'm probably in the dyslexic cat.

gonna try to sort out the laptop as well as it's so slow you can hear gears clunking and the marbles rolling round in it's gubbins. not sure if it was i.e. that was causing probs but it does need sorting out e.g. moemory is rammed full, progs running from startup that never get used etc etc etc, theres a whole lot of rosy going on behind the screen that's no doubt hampering my web experience.

Dont DO IT!!!!!! IE rocks!!!!!!!!!!

I changed mine a few times, I just like IE, I know its clearly not the best, but I like to stick with what I know.

thats why i've never changed.
straight away though it seems quicker and the amount of times i.e. used to fail to start properly, shut down properly was beginning to really get on my nerves. time will tell i suppose, next task is to get these apps that always seem to run to stop doing so. some stuff is no longer available at first look like favs. so will have to suss it, i think tonight with some jaques fruit cider and my "how to do anything with a pc" that the window cleaner gave me should get me on the way.
will seem basic stuff to most but if you've never been shown then it's like calculus. people do their best to help but as soon as they use a term i dont understand then it becomes like the adult voices on charlie brown.

they should've called it 'mercury' if it's so shiney and fluid though.

Hang on a minute

So you made a poll

The poll came out 8 to 0 in favour of Firefox

So you tried out Chrome?

Logic ftw.

I have been using Firefox for a while now and it is sweeeeeeeeeeeet.

Tried Chrome on my laptop, was not impressed, and reverted it back to Firefox.

Working fine here mate. Have you allowed videos to be played, as in, do you get the little drop down thing at the top of your screen to allow it. Just guessing though
