Erm, who's redundancy cash is buying this anvil and I guess blacksmith lessons? Get her a tig set, Alu capable, then some training and practice.

As is the modern world, the start up company she worked for tactically folded jusy before any rights for redundancy cash was due. This ensures the millions rhe EU gave to the company to create jobs, which was never going to hapoen because the company has (long since, i suspect) decided the work will be done in china, doesn't get wasted on the workers.

Nah ... my cash for the anvil, her birthday present to her for the course (next week). I'm keeping my eye out for a forge too.
