You should get on it - a fully sanctioned day of laziness and gluttony.

Big roasted turkey, green been casserole, scalloped potatoes, mashed potatoes, herbed sausage stuffing, fresh rolls, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, cranberry sauce etc...

Throw a couple of Premier League matches on the tube for continuing daily entertainment...

What's not to love? You can borrow if you'd like.

Fourth Thursday in November.

Get on down, Chico. Sounds like you're regularly state-side, there are plenty of places that have a Thanksgiving dinner on the regular menu.

The further South you get, your rolls might get replaced with cornbread - a lovely wrinkle if I do say so myself.

Can't make it for this one, but I'm going to find some American friends to invite me a dinner.

Thanksgiving is awesome. Not only do you have Thursday off, you get Friday and half of Wedbesday too! Plus the food is as awesome as you want it to be...I brine my turkey before roasting, mashed taters, green beans, stuffing, veg, gravy made from turkey fat, apple and pumpkin pies.......

Have a good Thanksgiving Dylan and all the other GOT yanks. For the rest of you, enjoy working and not feasting next Thursday. Suckers.

I heard 'Fairytale of New York' on the radio yesterday. Shocking. Way too early to think about Christmas yet in our house.

*Note to self, put sprouts on when you get home.

Would be a good thing, if it killed christmas. Can't stand that most 'wonderful' time of the year.(n)

I'm getting that way Dutch, its for kiddies and commercialism, some schools here no longer do the Nativity plays in case it upsets others, everywhere you go the same crap music being thrown at you from all points of the compass, I'm not even allowed to get pissed no ffs. the local chapel stopped doing midnight services because of low attendances and the fact they can't afford the heating.............................humbug the lot of it I'll stay in bed for a fortnight

I heard a christmas song on radio 1 as I was driving home yesterday, not sure if it was a piss take but I refused to listen to the station for the rest of the journey out of principle
