I remember all souls day ... remembering the dead ... apple bobbing, home made toffee around a bonfire.

Now its stupid dress up like some holywood film character and mug your neighbours for sweets with menaces. Meanwhile fully grown adults litter their homes with plastic tat and polymer fake cobwebs that trap and kill birds, while tv companies swamp their output with supposedly horror films.

Take a wild guess which culture I prefer!

I got domestic arguments, a bin bag and plastic teeth, if me ma was double dosed up enough to remember to buy some apples or spuds to bob for 20p I’d have considered that a success.

It's like my missus starting to buy Xmas beer/wine and saying if its in the garage we can't drink it.
It doesn't get near December and I'm out buying booze on the 23rd of December.
