Christian Eriksen alive

When the camera first zoomed in like it does for any player down injured, and we could see the state he was in, I genuinely thought I witnessed someone's death. Horrific thing to happen and so releived he's okay.
And just think it was the first game in the euros aswell.

Same feeling here. Thought I had seen someone die. That feeling followed by seeing him receive CPR was unsettling.

Reflecting on the issues of the TV coverage, BBC should have cut to the studio but I imagine that many people were in shock and unsure what to do for the best. Also, cutting to the studio might not have been possible as the pundits might well have been in greater shock than us at home.

Now that he seems to be making a recovery, do people think it would be appropriate for some medical experts to be on the panel for one of the upcoming games and describe the actions that saved his life and that we all might be able to do? Things like this can happen at Sunday league and even kids games where there's less likely to be medical experts nearby. It could save lives.

It was the most harrowing thing I’ve ever seen on live television. The shock of it traumatised me to the point that I had to stop watching immediately and go outside to sit there with my head in my hands for about 20 minutes. One minute you’re watching a football match without a care in the world and then that happens. It doesn’t make sense.

So glad to hear he’s stable. Thank god for the medical staff, they are absolute miracle workers and geniuses.
Same, as soon as I saw him lay there glassy eyed and people frantically waving I left the room and made a cuppa.

Spent the next hour or so in the kitchen refreshing twitter for signs he was ok. When It was clear he was I went back to the TV to be greeted by Richard Keys telling me:

"This isn't concrete but my sources are telling me that they think he's still alive"

Check UEFA or even the Danish FA you baboon.
Only thing that matches it for me was Roman Grosjean going through the barrier at Bahrain in a ball of flames and not emerging for nearly a minute... I thought both were dead, unbelievably they both look to have survived.

It's one of those moments where you can't quite believe it's really happening in front of you. I really thought he was gone today. So, so relieved it looks like his family still have him.
Yeah, I was convinced Grosjean was dead. Actually cried when I saw him clamber over that barrier.

Yeah, massive fanny.

Having watched F1 for forty years I was sure Grosjean was dead. My son wasn't worried, due to the improved fire safety. He was right thank goodness.

That half hour or so that he was being treated to for will haunt me forever. Me and two of my mates ended up going for a walk to clear our heads because of the surreality of the whole situation and as soon as we got the pics through of him awake we all breathed a sigh of relief

The same God that enabled the heart to be pumping again in Eriksen's body. The same God that most people on here sing "God save the Queen" for the anthem.

Why did God let Eriksens heart stop pumping in the first place ? Was he slacking ?
Have they said what it was yet?
There's a thing called Cough Syncope which...short version, you cough which constricts tiny blood vessels in the neck brain area, and you go down like they cut the Strings, *clicks fingers, you just topple.
I just hope he makes a full revovery
