I don't think the PL was made for his style of play
...yep, hasn't worked out.
He has been successful elsewhere which suggests he has talent - either we've misused it or he's just not suited to the league. Sad for him as he seems a really nice lad, hope wherever he ends up next season it works out well for him.
It's his first season in the PL, on the back of good campaigns in Portugal and the Netherlands. He's showed glimpses of his ability but hasn't looked ready for the speed or physicality of the league. Considering he's only been on the pitch five times in the PL for us - injuries have been a big problem - it's harsh to say he's not suited to the league.
I'm sure there's a decent player in there.
