First dibs, first refusal, first choice. Whatever you want to call it, it's a myth. Wouldn't ever stack up in reality for a number of reasons. The only way you can have something like that is if there's a concrete buy back fee agreed in advance.

Yeah. We'd need to cement a fee at the time of taking him on loan. Not sure if we'd be able to aggregate on a fee though.
 

I'd be mortarfied if we gave anybody first refusal on Ross.

So would he. Literally the only situation where it would be remotely plausible would be a buy-back clause for a club he's already been at - and even then, the player wouldn't be obliged to agree personal terms.
