Seriously are people not allowed to make judgements of players anymore or what?

of course, I just think in order to judge any player they have to be given an opportunity to show their worth before they are written off.

You're writing the two of them off based on what?

Watching them play football for Everton, poorly.

Ridiculous.

What about watching Kone play well and score 13 league goals, in a poor Wigan side, when he was actually fit?

Atsu has never played first team football in the premier league before and will need time.

And youve seen Kone in an Everton shirt 6 times, and Christian Atsu 4 times. Hardly a good enough sample to write them off.

But if thats what you're into mate, as you were ;)

At such time they prove themselves as good players, I will say so.

It's not an absolute view that they're crap, if they start playing well I'll change my opinion.

When did that happen?

Apologies, it was 11 goals in the league wasnt it.

Still a good return.

Not arguing with you because my memory is garbage but the year they got relegated, my recollection is that they played some pretty good togger but because Alcaraz wasn't around and Kone missed a hatful, they went down. Could be wrong of course.

Everton v Stevenage in the COC cup last year.

It was the day that Stuart Barlows crown for hatrick of misses was taken by Kone.

I've never seen someone miss 3 times from the six yard line. At this moment in time, he is our worst ever signing ever.

I was there. One was an open goal too.

Fellaini's last goal for us too I think?

When Kone blasted through the Blackburn defence last season from the half way and hit a shot with a foot like a traction engine from 6 yards out, to see it crash against the bar. Oh Arouna

Kone has became almost a mythical figure after that game. He was genuinely atrocious that Tuesday evening. The worst I've seen in a long time.

Unfortunately, his injury occurred soon afterwards which rightly or wrongly, has ensured he hasn't been able to remove the stigma. Is it unfair to judge in the long term what type of player he is? Most probably. Yet, as that performance combined with a few others is all we've got to judge him on, it's not unfair for fans to question his ability and what he can contribute. You can only judge by what you know!

The same applies with Atsu. It's too early to completely right him off, but what we've seen has been far from promising. What is most concerning is his apparent attitude or commitment: he hasn't appeared too keen to chase down or get stuck in. Whether that's as he's afraid due to his statute, feels he's a Chelsea player or a general lazy something is yet to be seen. Compared to the contribution of Ged last year - he's a million miles away. I hope he makes, I genuinely do, however I'm relatively concerned he won't.
