Christian Atsu

Could he play behind or off Lukaku up front? I know his best position is either wing but with Barkley out we need to try and mix it up dynamically across the forward line. Our usual back four and 2 pivot midfielders with Pienaar left mid and Kev on the right, Atsu and Lukaku interchanging... He seemed to pick up good scoring positions as a second striker in the few clips I seen of him with Porto a few seasons back and with Vitesse last season

He does, tbf.

The fact that @LinekersLegs liked the picture of a fit young guy with his shirt off made me smile.

“After the World Cup, when I came back to Chelsea they told me of Everton’s interest," said the Ghanaian trickster. "I told them Everton were a great Club and I would prefer to play for them.

“I think Everton is a great Club with a great manager and they try to play football, which is very important for me."

Wow, what a massive compliment, this kid is a real good guy.

I've watched the Ghana world cup games a couple of times now and he never really excels or leaves his stamp on a match the way Besic did.

Positives: I think the strongest part of his game may be through balls which is something we may be in need of and his general passing looks tidy.
Looks comfortable drifting in field off the wings like Pienaar but is left footed so can do it from the other flank. 2 in 3 of his crosses looked tosh but he does have a good one in him. Finally as well as the obvious pace and one-on one ability he also looks pure good at taking corners.

Post saver follows ...
