In a weird way I’m happy that I’m really disappointed that we never got anything today, same as I was against city.

We’ve been in nearly all the games under Moyes, even with the usual suspects like doucure, Keane and Harrison doing what they do best.

With a few tweaks to his staring 11s and a little more quality available to Davey I can see positives and progress for us. Wish he was a bit braver sometimes, and didn’t pick the usual suspects.

Next three game I don’t want to see any of the players who are out of contract playing, except maybe idrissa who needs to be signed up now. Leave Broja, Harrison, doucure, young, keane all out of the starting 11.

Stick with that back 4, Patterson needs more games and JOB was class at CB, branthwaite completely imperious today, motm by a mile, Myko solid enough.

Play iroegbunam with garner/idrissa, Charley in the 10, ndiaye on the right and McNeil on the left.

Start chermiti, we need to take a good look at, Beto to come off the bench.

Get a few of the U21s on the bench and bring them on.

Let’s have a proper look at what we might have to go with next season Davey, instead of playing the has beens.

Alcaraz was impressive again today coming on, the polar opposite to doucure who just kills our attacks as much as the opposition do.

….i took a bit of encouragement from that, particularly the CB pairing. Still in the game and pushing the last 20 mins.

Hopefully posters will now realise why Young consistently starts ahead of Patterson. @davek & I don’t have an agenda against him, he’s just what we saw today.

Quality in the top third will make a huge difference.
Unfair Young had very little to do as Chelsea knew we had no ability to score - Beto had the best effort = subbed - Doucs did sod all not subbed - looked better with Alcaraz on - 2 corners in 90 minutes typical DM - he needs replacing at the start of the season and z Manager with new ideas & get some yoghurt in the side!

All of this. Great post. I feel the same way. It’s criminal not to start Dwight on the left, with some combination of two in the middle whether it’s Ndiaye, Alcaraz, Chermitti, etc….I don’t have a clue why McNeil would’ve been put on right when the entire world knows he has no right foot. I saw him countless times today trying to force it in with his left. I know we don’t see everything Moyes sees. But occasionally he needs to see what all of us can see and do that. Don’t look at Ndiaye and McNeil as two left wingers. Don’t always start Doucoure. Test out other players while you can. Things like that.

Agree with almost all of that save for the Patterson comments. He's had 50 games for us yet looked like a fish out of water. There has to be another RB in the club for the last few.games

He wont though mate, never has in his entire managerial career. If he decides player A is going into position B, then barring an injury, thats where they’re going. He’s done well for us, but the reason I didn’t want him back is because of his ‘ cast in stone’ mentality.
