A solid defensive performance for the most part, Branthwaite my MoM. Only beaten by a stupid decision by Pickford to pass to Beto on the halfway line despite knowing that he can't control a ball played direct to him. Plus being denied a stone wall penalty. Perhaps if we had tried shooting at goal directly rather than lofting soft crosses to their goalkeeper. Despite having most of the possession, Chelsea didn't really threaten.

It's not always his fault ffs too easy to just blame him the whole midfield have been off it
No. It's too easy to blame others. Sometimes the selection of a player completely imbalances everything else in the team. That happens sometimes with really good players, and frankly? Doucoure might be the worst in his position I have ever seen for any club.

Nothing we didn’t know. Roll on summer

Doucoure, Harrison, Young….rubbish and shouldn’t be renewed
Doucs getting 90 every single week makes me think he’s 100% coming back. Which is just pathetic. A few goals doesn’t even paper over how bad he is with the ball and the fact he’s just chasing like an old dog without it.

A premier league team without a proper striker is nuts. They need to spend big on several positions. Striker, left back, right back, a replacement for Gana?( hes decent but old). Im not convinced by Garner.

Good point. Pickford was putting it in a dangerous area of the pitch for no benefit. If you spray it down either wing it’s much more difficult for them there. Even hitting it out of play is preferable as it gives players time to get in position.

I don’t think you can blame Pickford for that. That was the 4th time he’d played that pass to Beto and he’d lost the ball each time. That suggests it’s an out ball that is part of the tactic from Moyes.
