Playing devils advocate a little maybe - Just feels like if he's even half as good as the media tells us he is - then he'd be the first name on the teamsheet every week.

If he can't dislodge Osman from the first team, I don't know how bright his star is going to shine in the future - He's not a 16 year old kid - He's an adult, professional footballer

No, he really is gash when he starts. He's best coming off bench.

If you've been watching us this season, you know just how good Barkley is and can go on to be.

Don't knee jerk because he doesn't start every game.

I'm not knee jerking - I want Barkley to start every game when fit - When he doesnt start I feel it weakens us - If he's not fit he shouldnt be taking a space on the bench

Here's a good question,
Do you think Martinez is a great manager?

If the answer is yes, like it should be..
Then why does a great manager start a dreadful player and bring him on game after game..
He adds things to the game that you're clearly not looking out for..

I'm also someone who kicks off at him from time to time when he has a lifeless shot or does something stupid but you just can't deny that he obviously offers Martinez a lot in terms of how he wants the team to play that we/you are unaware of

At least he got in to those positions. The shots fell to him and no one else.

I'm not a massive fan of Osman but the level of criticism he gets is a bit unfair. Barkley seems almost exempt from criticism on here. The fact is that at this moment in time Osman is a better option than Barkley.

I see it as Martinez fully utilising his squad to try and minimise burnouts and injuries.

Barkley has just been out for a while.

Yes that was his one decent attempt, the three others were classic Oscan.

He drifted out of that game badly after the opening few mins
