No standard of defending stops a ref playing 8 minutes of 7 added on and then a linesman not giving offside.

It's happened to most teams, yes, but it's now happened twice to us this term (playing more time). That's not pretending there's a bias, It's just that the standard of reffing is a disgrace.

We played excellently today

Regardless of todays result, my point could have been made at pretty much any point this season and last.

our goals aside we were overrun too much for my liking in that second half. We defended better last Wednesday but even then rode out luck a bit. I don't think we play well enough yet to reach or even deserve top four (maybe top 5 or 6). Most of the players are good enough so it's not them (except for the occasional Howard mess up). So it must be the coaching and management. Let's hope Martinez can sort it out
