He is the most fouled player in Europe. He was the most fouled player in Europe last season. And the season before that. He's only trying to prolong his career from monsters such as this:

Stop trying to pretend he's a Neymar or Luis Suarez. (The Stoke player only got a yellow card for that)

Arteta was the most fouled player in the Premier League when he played for us. Did we moan about it, or call it a conspiracy?

Always the victim...

I think there's very little fume on GOT, Chico. A lot of us can see that a corner has been turned and Everton are coming back. Ok, it's a little late to win the PL (or get a CL spot via top 4), but I am pleasantly surprised to feel the new sense of optimism, of a new dawn. Many members are also forecasting CL entry through our winning the Europa. Such sunny outlook has surprised me. I think as a forum, we are all getting a little mellower and wiser.

ROFL. No one is forecasting that.

Pretty pleased with the lads v Chelsea. They have a bit of steel in them again. I reckon a few spare pounds on our winning the Europa wouldn't be the dumbest thing

Great to see the true Everton spirit of sanguinity, glass half full optimism is returning. I too believe the Europa is ours for the taking (as long as we avoid Spurs and RS)

I understand. I'll let it die here. You don't believe the Naismith incident was a penalty and you believe Ivanovic was absolutely guilty of whatever he did and for your manager to go about moaning about it to generate headlines such as this one.

You also believe it's perfectly okay for you manager to have no such complaints when Howard manhandled Diego Costa at Goodison Park earlier this season, instead choosing to chastise him by saying "he'll learn how to behave in English football" or something along those lines.

Costa is fair game, McCarthy isn't, according to you. Naismith was shoulder right? He made a swinging motion towards the ball, but that's irrelevant, okay, I get it. It's all the same for all teams, so why even bring it up right?

Let's see if you remain consistent when it happens to your team. And just to add, I really did expect better from some of you Everton fans. I know first hand you're nothing like the RS, but I did expect at least to have a conversation, instead of the snide remarks and false representations.

You need to get laid James. Go on say something.

If you're joining us on the day shift and need to catch up with happenings in this series then...

Previously on GOT:

  • Everton fall to late defeat at Chelsea
  • Its either Howard, Barry's or Martinez's fault.
  • American gloryhunting Chelsea fan posts on GOT and claims that shoulder is really your hand.
  • Said Chelsea fan then produces youtube videos to prove massive conspiracy against top of the league free spending Chelsea
  • No apology for Hysel
  • No apology from fellow Americans for grits.

Well, just watched the 5 minute highlights on the club website.

Unless the 5 minutes were all about Everton, we looked great. Lukaku missed a sitter ( yes you can say great save but top strikers like Costa would have scored) to put us ahead. Chelsea's goal looked to be a slight deflection but seeing Howard just standing there watching it go in is annoying.

In the 5 minute package it looked a top away performance against the soon to be Champions. Yet again though we just seem to be missing that something this season.

okay mate, the fact that it happened doesn't mean it was a bad decision. Besic is young and undisciplined, Barry rarely gets himself sent off, despite accruing over 100 career yellows, there was nothing to indicate it would happen today. And it's not as if it was the worst challenge in the world

Not sure what Stones has to do with any of this. Also, there's the whole thing that Besic is the better player at the moment which didn't seem to be considered. Barry is always a risk to get sent off, and it did happen today is the whole point. He probably should have been sent off two times earlier this season as well and was lucky to stay on.

I'm sure you don't watch anywhere near as many Chelsea games like I do, so you are simply not aware the insane amount of (decisive) decisions that have gone against us and the way the media dramatize anything any of our players do. We really should be at least 12 points clear by now. The Daily Mail is leading with Ivanovic "biting" your player (which is absolute garbage) but van Persie can seemingly hit a player in the face and it doesn't even get spoken of. I'm not going to go on about it, but sometimes you just wonder.

As for the pen, which I maintain was stonewall and hit arm and not shoulder, the only reason I mention it on an Everton forum is because I see some Everton fans bringing up the Ivanovic incident. It's only fair I bring it up.
Against Newcastle, Papisse Cisse elbowed Coleman in the face not one, not twice but three times yet escaped a red card on the day and then went on to score a goal that turned the match against us. At City, Eto'o was karate kicked in the spleen by Malanga and Barry kicked in the head with only a yellow earned between them but Jags went shoulder to shoulder with Milner and a penalty was given. Not only did those decisions cost us valuable points but our players were genuinely lucky to escape with little injury from the tackles.

All teams get calls good and bad against them - Howard was lucky to stay on in the match earlier on on the season, Ivanovic this match. You took all the points anyhow, why you are moaning so much?
