(2) Thanks for that. You said it yourself. It was the unnatural movement towards the ball that really makes it a penalty. That completely changes the trajectory of the ball, so I was amazed it wasn't given, even by this season's officiating towards us.

The unnatural movement of the ball was caused somewhat by it pounding off his actual shoulder James.

Unless we *gasps* witnessed our first poltergeist incident in Premier League football?

Dramaticise.

Where you from James?

Oh I see. You ARE a gloryhunter aren't you! Who did you support before Chelsea? Who you going to support next?

Stick around James.

What's your point? What's "dramaticise"? Methinks you're trying to force cleverness/wittiness but it's not working for you. Must be an off-day, Chico.

(Amazing previews you do btw. Really impressive.)

Naismith has many tricks up his clever little sleeve. He usually leaves his markers in his dust as a result of a combination of these together with his electric pace. I have seen him do the flap motion with his arms before. It is a distraction device. He often scores just after performing it. Never in a million years has it ever been a hand ball, and nor was it today.

(1) The thing with Eden is that he tends to get brutalized in every game. So, initially, in his first season, he would just simply take the punishment and not complain but he soon became aware that refs in this country don't appreciate honesty. So I've noticed myself that this season especially, he tends to over-dramatize contact (contact nonetheless) to get the attention of refs and to protect himself from injuries. I remember this season, a potentially leg breaking tackle he got from a Stoke player and all the ref did was give a yellow. You can check the video for yourself on Youtube. So, I can't really begrudge him for that. He's the most honest player I've ever seen in my life. Hands down.

You haven't seen many players then.

Also, notice Azpilicueta and Ramires (I think) got a yellow for their first tackles, like Besic did.

(Sorry I couldn't multi-quote it as I wanted to. Not used to the formatting on this forum.)

You don't top the league without having/more than your fair share of dubious calls.

"But everyones conspiring against us!" Says Mourinho every other week of his managerial career.

Sorry, if I get this right, Costa is this years Suarez? He's the victim, it's never his fault?

Just want to clear this up so I don't confuse you with a kopite.
I never said Costa was a victim. I never even mentioned Costa in the point I was making, aside from the fact I pointed out he was manhandled by Howard and Martinez never whinged about it in his post-match interview, but has plenty to talk about concerning Ivanovic. That's inconsistency.

And, no, I'm no "Kopite". [Poor language removed] hate them.

Not a Kopite, but you fall into the equally hated category of USA glory hunters.

On a side note, why haven't they called the MLS the world series of "soccer" just like every other sport you play?

Soccer FFS, call it football and GTFO.

And why not? We've only lost 3 games all season, less than the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona. We just have a really strong team this season, and that's despite getting nothing from the refs.

Say what you want about Mourinho, but anytime he's complained about something this season, he's always had a point, as much as the media try to paint it as "mind games" when it isn't.

I'm not American, what's your point? I'm English, but schooled and now working in America. That's why it cracked me up when the other guy tried to paint me as some foreigner. What's ironic is that I know Americans that know more about football than many English people. They've become very knowledgeable about it.
