Transfer Rumour Che Adams

You really are so tedious on this subject, the amount that is changing at the club under a incredibly restrictive budget and the window isn't closed yet. What is clear is that you don't really understand the role of DoF at a gigantic club or what is currently happening better than anyone else.

on this subject only?

That's a compliment, if anything.

If we miss out on players, we're going to move down the transfer depth chart until we find someone that works. Che Adams isn't out first choice (otherwise why are we signing him a couple weeks before the end of the window) but we do need attackers in, and if Dyche thinks he can do a job for us, so be it.

This whole 'relegated players aren't good enough' narrative is so tiresome. There are so many factors that go into a relegation - bad management, bad luck, bad ownership, as well as bad players. If Everton were relegated, you wouldn't make the argument that Pickford isn't good enough - he's Englands no 1 ffs.

Thank You!!

Very much this, he will be a loooong way down the list of options and if we are signing him now its because we have exhausted the other options and are unable to get them in.

Better than what we have, other than DCL, but worse than what pretty much every other team has. He'll score 5 goals in 35 games, difficult to know how much that's worth.

Had a look on Saints forum. They absolutely hate us..no idea why. Most aren't gutted about Adams leaving which is always a worry but not as happy as Brighton fans were about Maupay

Actually, no.... I'm not.

It just is a reflection of where we are.

None of us know for sure what our budget is for overall squad strengthening. If they (the management and recruiting team) think a forward for about 10/15m is sufficient so they can direct any additional funds elsewhere then so be it.

As with every window, give it a mark out of ten once it's closed.

Anything else is just nonsense.

….absolute nonsense.

So let’s agree we have £15m to spend on a striker (not withstanding we have already spent £15m on Chermiti & £12m on Maupay). In all the world and all the strikers available, Everton go for Che Adams (a bloke widely tipped up on here a month ago as somebody we’d end up with) and you think it’s perfectly acceptable.

We pay a DoF big bucks to have knowledge of the global game and contacts he trusts across the world & he comes up with Che Adams.

I'm guessing the FFP stuff is why they hate us, which is fair enough. If we'd gone down and they'd been charged with breaching FFP pretty sure we'd hate them.

I don't know why you're surprised that the worst run club in the Premier League is behaving like the worst run club in the Premier League.
