Not a fan of him starting but just absurd to ignore his abilities as a super sub. He makes stuff happen in the attacking third. Got to think there is something going on to get iced like this

With KDH suspended, At least Charlie will travel with the ball in central areas and put defenders on the back foot. Makes it more likely we can get the ball to Beto in areas he wants it.

He'll probably play Coleman there instead.

Interesting to see who gets picked next week to start in KDHs absence. I’d go with Charly and sub in Merlin late game if he’s fit.

He is very different to KDH. Either looks for the striker or looks to shoot.

Should be playing when we're chasing a goal.

Big surprise he's been used so little this season.

I get in Moyes mind he's a work in progress player but I take it Moyes can remember his impact at Fulham and Newcastle? He's a midfielder who can run into the box and get on the end of stuff so that would've been useful tonight just as someone else for Grealish and Dibling to aim for when they were on the edge looking for someone to cross to.

Hopefully we see him v Palace.

but i do agree need charly as hes brave and drives into the box with pace and intent

Once Moyes makes his mind up on a player he becomes his favourite or a begrudging sub

Alcaraz has shown enough in my mind to start or always be the sub. He’s creative and goes for goal. He doesn’t deserve the bench.

I think the whole reason he was bought was that £12m was as cheap as it gets these days. Probably deserves a go at the weekend just to try something different.

One basic point is that he links up well with Beto. As badly as Beto played tonight if he had Alcaraz behind him he would have been much better.

Garner has been very good in centre mid but Gueye next to Dewsbury-Hall with Alcaraz in front and Garner at right back would be the way to go imo.
