2025/26 Charly Alcaraz

He came on cold so I am not surprised by the backpass. The KDH injury was unfortunate. When he first came on, you can tell he was trying to play super safe and emulate KDH. That is not who Charly is. He rode a few challenges as the game went on and made some good plays. I just hope the constant dropping does not get him down. He actually gets us going on the counter.

I think your view on him says a lot about your view on football. He’s a spark plug. His work in attack is really good and really does open teams up often.

He often makes mistakes. And if you’re someone who can’t overlook that, even from an attacking player who does need to take risks, well you’re never going to want him around.

No prizes for guessing Moyes standpoint.

Played well after a cold start, should have started
He's been typical Alcaraz. I mean that as both a compliment and insult.

Some really good moments, mostly when there's grass in front of him that he can drive into and he looks like he's the one who's going to make the difference.

Some really poor stuff too when he's in possession.

He seems frightened to 'play' and instead it seems like Moyes has told him to play safe OR he sees that playing safe keeps others in the team.

He should have slapped someone and played his own game.

Not impressive.

Shocking post.

In a team that cant score goals hes put Alcaraz at 10 and magically we create chances.

What does he do, drops him and no doubt batters his confidence.
